What a perfect way to start a blog. It is veteran day today. I woke up as usual and went to school without checking my calendar. When I entered the campus I found it was unusually quiet and almost deserted. I sense something is amiss. I walked further in the campus and past my usual hanging place. Definitely something is missing.
Only few students were there in the campus center cafeteria. Some Korean student groups were playing cards and few were surfing nets. There were few other faces which has got the same bewildered look like mine. I guess we were on the same boat. We came to the school without checking school calendar and it is a NATIONAL HOLIDAY today.
I couldn’t gauge my reaction then; it was mixed feeling of relief and little bit of unsettling disquiet. I was relieved as I don’t have to attend class and some repressed angst for I could have used some more sleep. I wouldn’t have woke up in this blistering cold if I knew it was holiday.
Well I should better think on the brighter side and that will be good way to start the day. It will do well rather cursing myself for being such a blockhead.
